01The short version
- Starter is free. Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription. Lifetime is a single payment.
- A license is for one person. Pro covers 2 Macs, Lifetime covers 3.
- Payments go through Stripe. Cancel Pro anytime from the billing portal and keep it until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Changed your mind? Ask within 14 days of buying for a full refund.
- Nexus runs your agents but doesn't provide them. Their own terms apply, and you decide what they're allowed to do.
- Nexus comes without a warranty, and our liability is limited.
02Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the maker of Nexus ("we", "us"). They cover the Nexus app and this website. By downloading, installing or using Nexus, you agree to them. If you use Nexus on behalf of a company, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms for it.
03Your license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Nexus under the plan you have. We keep ownership of the app; you get the right to use it.
| Plan | Payment | Macs | Updates |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Free | Your own | Included |
| Pro | Subscription | 2 | While subscribed |
| Lifetime | Once | 3 | All of 1.x |
Prices and what each plan includes are on the pricing page. A license belongs to one person. Within your plan's Mac count you can use Nexus on any of your own Macs, but you can't share a license with other people. If you replace a Mac and need help moving your license, email us.
04Payments and subscriptions
Payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card or wallet details on our checkout page, but they go straight to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. The privacy page explains what Stripe shares with us.
Prices are in US dollars. Taxes such as sales tax or VAT may be added where the law requires them.
Pro is billed monthly or yearly and renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. If the price of Pro changes, we'll tell you before your next renewal, and the new price applies from that renewal on.
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal (use "Manage billing" at the bottom of any page of this site, or the link in your receipt). You can also switch between monthly and yearly billing there. After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then Nexus goes back to Starter features. Your projects and history stay on your Mac either way.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it over the following days. If it still doesn't go through, Pro may pause and Nexus goes back to Starter features until the payment succeeds or you update your payment method.
If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us first; we can usually fix it faster than your bank can. If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer (a chargeback), we may suspend the license tied to that payment while the dispute is open, and end it if the charge is reversed.
Promo codes: one code per purchase. Codes have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money, and may expire or come with conditions shown at checkout, such as applying to the first payment only.
05Lifetime
Lifetime is a one-time payment, not a subscription. It never renews and you won't be charged again for 1.x. It covers everything in Pro, on up to 3 Macs, with all updates through Nexus 1.x and priority email support. A later major version (2.0 and up) may be sold separately. If it is, your copy of 1.x keeps working.
06Refunds
If Nexus isn't right for you, email us within 14 days of buying Pro or Lifetime and we'll refund the full amount. For a yearly Pro renewal, the 14 days start on the renewal date. If the law where you live gives you more, you get more.
Outside this refund policy, we don't give refunds or credits for unused time or partial billing periods. When you cancel Pro, you keep it until the end of the period you've paid for instead.
07Acceptable use
Please don't:
- share, resell or rent your license, or publish license keys;
- get around license checks or plan limits, or modify the app to do so;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble Nexus, except where the law allows it;
- use Nexus to break the law, to attack or overload other systems, or to break the terms of the services your agents use.
If you do, we may end your license (see section 13).
08Agents and other services
Nexus is a place to run coding-agent CLIs. It doesn't provide AI models or accounts. Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and the other CLIs, the MCP servers in Connections, and the websites you open in the built-in browser are run by other companies, and their own terms, prices and usage limits apply. We aren't responsible for their availability, their output or what they charge you.
Agents act on your Mac. They can run commands, edit files and, with computer use, click and type. Each CLI asks for permission the way it normally does, and Nexus keeps Auto bypass off until you turn it on. Still, you decide what each agent may do, and reviewing its work is up to you. Keep backups and use version control.
Third-party names are trademarks of their owners. Nexus is an independent app and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them.
09Your content
Your code, prompts, files and agent output are yours. We don't receive them (the privacy page explains why), and these terms give us no rights to them.
10Updates
We release updates that add, change and sometimes remove features. The changelog lists what changed in each version. Nexus may stop working with a CLI if that CLI changes in a way we can't support.
11No warranty
Nexus is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that Nexus will be free of errors or work with every version of every CLI.
12Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or code, arising from your use of Nexus or of agents run through it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for Nexus in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars if you paid nothing.
Some places don't allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.
13Ending the license
You can stop using Nexus at any time. We may end your license if you seriously break these terms, and we'll tell you why. Sections that should outlast the license by their nature (ownership, no warranty, limitation of liability, governing law) still apply after it ends.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. For changes that matter, we'll give notice on this site or by email before they take effect. Using Nexus after that means you accept the updated terms.
15Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them closer to home.
